Information Institute Receives Award for the Development of a Renewable Energy Research Web Portal

The Information Institute in collaboration with the FSU Learning Systems Institute will identify, organize, and make available via a web portal, research generated as part of a statewide initiative broadly related to renewable energy. A second product will be research on extending technologies that allow users to share information and grow/sustain the web portal through a range of web 2.0 and social networking techniques. The $209,000 one year project is funded by the FSU Institute for Energy Systems, Economics and Sustainability. Charles R. McClure and Chris Hinnant at the Information Institute and Ian Douglas at Learning Systems Institute serve as Co-PIs on the project. An abstract provides additional information about the project.
