Public Libraries and the Internet published in American Libraries

The August 2005 issue of American Libraries, the official magazine of the American Library Association, features an article describing the findings from the Information Use Management and Policy Institute's Public Libraries and the Internt 2004 study.

The article, entitled "Public Libraries Struggle to Meet Internet Demand," provides an overview of key findings from a study funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the American Library Association. It discusses major issues that affect the provision of Internet access in public libraries. It was authored by John Carlo Bertot, the Associate Director of the Institute, Charles R. McClure, the Director of the Institute, and Paul T. Jaeger, the Manager for Research Development of the Institute.
