Information Institute Comments on Federal Internet Policy

The Information Institute has provided comments on selected issues raised in the U.S. Department of Commerce Notice of Inquiry (NOI) on "Cybersecurity, Innovation, and Internet Policy." The comments provided recommendations to improve cybersecurity, while sustaining innovation and stimulating economic development. The Information Institute offered comments that may help shape the future development of U.S. national broadband policy.

The Commerce Department created an Internet Policy Task Force in April 2010 to identify Internet policy challenges and to recommend possible solutions. After analyzing comments on this NOI, the Department will issue a report that will make recommendations to improve the Administration’s domestic and international policies and activities in advancing both cybersecurity and the Internet economy.
